Ok, to activate Quick Look in Finder, you can either ctrl click or right click and pick Quick Look from the context menu, or highlight the item with a single click and then press command and y, or highlight and press the space bar. Seems slow and cumbersome to me. How would I go about assigning a middle click to this function in Finder, which would make much more sense?

Why does it only mention cmd y in the help, and the shortcut that is much more elegant (highlight with mouse, press space bar) is omitted?

You could also click the object and then the QuickLook icon in the Finder toolbar. It's the one that looks like an eye.

OK, that's another option that's not mentioned in help. Also, the eye isn't there by default, is it?
