I set up Back to my Mac on my three computers. Two of them are at home behind an Airport Extreme router and one is at work on the campus network. I also turned on screen sharing and file sharing. I'm trying to connect to my work computer from home, but it doesn't seem to show up automatically in the Finder as I think it should using Back to My Mac. I can connect to it using command-k and vnc or afp without any problem just entering the static IP address.

Anyone get this working?

I turned NAT Port Mapping back on for my Airport Extreme at home and it is working great now. I guess the install turned it off for some reason. Cool feature and worth the upgrade price to me.

It seems a bit flakey. I've lost the Shared computers a number of times in the Finder sidebar. Stopping and starting the Back to my Mac (BM) feature brings them back. I hope they get it working more robustly.

This guy seems to think it is a security risk: Do not go Back to My Mac

I think he got it wrong as it asks me for a username and password when connecting to one of my macs. At least, it did until I added it to my keychain.

Any thoughts on the security of BM?
