Ok guys, I installed Leopard but had some problems with finder. I though the problem would be fixed by doing an archive install but it did not fix the issue. It ended up solving the problem of a spinning beach ball on startup by renaming my divx folder in the library.

Anyway, I am under way and loving Leopard. However, my 60g hard disc is almost full with only 2 gig remaining. I really don't have a lot of files on this machine and I don't really know what happened when I did the archive install rather than an upgrade.

Also, I still have OS9 installed on my 1ghz TiBook.

Can anyone help me clean things up? Thanks,

go to macupdate.com and download an app called WhatSize. It'll help you very easily see what's eating drive space.

Long-term, you might consider upgrading your hard drive.

After an Archive & Install you may delete the folder "Previous Systems" (said archive) provided you're not missing something essential from your new install. And since Classic is no longer supported in Leopard you can also trash the OS 9 system folder and all Classic applications.

So to delete my OS9 startup disc I just trash the OS9 system folder?

Also, I am running the WhatSize app but I can't seem to find any documentation about what I can delete. Sorry guys, I am not familiar with these systems and I don't want to trash anything critical. Are files with their sizes displayed in red and purple critical?

not necessarily. File sizes determine color, not their criticality.
