I am wondering if it is possible to show the defualt osx folder icon on the stacks instead of having it change to the first thing in that folder?

not that we've found yet.

As a workaround, you could put a generic folder in there and name it so that it's always first.

I like having the file up front, though. Otherwise, you just have a generic file with no sense of what's in the stack until you mouse over it. For instance, I have my Home directory as a stack. It would be nice if the icon was a house, and not just a generic folder.
