Removing Windows machines from local network

At some point in time I had access to a windows machine on my local network. Since upgrading to 10.5, this old windows thing shows up under Sharing in the finder, the windows machine does not even exist anymore. I looked in the network and sharing preferences and could not see it listed anywhere. Any suggestions?
