will 10.5 boot DVD repair 10.4?

Ive misplaced my 10.4 install DVD.

I now have 10.5 install DVD. if i boot from the 10.5 and not install will it repair and check 10.4 from the disk utilities that might still be on 10.5 boot?

have not upgraded yet ... awaiting softwaare compatabilites etc
