The answer to your question would appear to be "yes". It's down.

Here is the info from the dotMac support page.

.Mac System Status
Mail
iDisk
Sync
Web Pages
Members cannot access .Mac services, except for sending and receiving mail using a desktop mail client. They will be restored ASAP.

UPDATE: As of 10/31/07 8 AM PDT, the .Mac Sync maintenance is still in progress. We thank you for your patience as we work to restore service ASAP.

Due to scheduled maintenance, some members may not be able to sync with the Apple .Mac website, or may receive an unexpected "What would you like to do for this first sync?" alert. We apologize for any inconvenience. Read here for more information.

Thanks. I should have looked there. Incidentally, I can't send/receive email from Mail either.

It's a bummer that authentication for AOL Instant Messaging is affected though (isn't it?).

They have issues. I'd like to know how things got so bad that they ended up with a multi-day outage. This has to be a worst case scenario for those at Apple that are involved with this.

They should offer us a free week or something when this is all over.
