Had several times where my machine looks like its in the final stages of a reboot/shut down with just the wallpaper and spinning gear thingy visable and it just hangs here for minutes, untill I shut down with the power button. Any one else get this?
Also getting no Loading Mac OS X spalsh screen and progressbar sometimes on a fresh boot/reboot.

That's because there isn't one in Leopard.

Want to confirm the same observation with my MBP (C2D) machine. It just took me 3 reboot cycles for things to reboot without a hard shutdown.
Any ideas out there???

Same stuff here. Quite frustrating to have to force my iMac to shut down by holding the power button for 10 seconds. Glad to hear it's not just me.
