Okay so a major issue in Leopard popped up for me and that's connecting to my wireless network at my University.
There's a thread Apple - Support - Discussions - 802.1X Connectivity and the University ... here.
I was wondering if anyone had the Internet Connect app because I've heard this a good work around. PM me if you have it and I'll give you an email. I hope they release a patch that fixes this issue soon.

Won't this achieve the same thing? Just thinking out loud.
System Preferences > Network > "Assist me..." button

No that doesn't work. It doesn't like to save the settings and you have to manually go in and delete passwords off keychain to reconnect. Thankfully I have an Intel version of Internet Connect now.
If anyone else needs it let me know and I'll send it to you.

I just tried using Internet Connect from Tiger after finding that same Apple Discussion thread without any luck. Have you got any tips, sogbrightlight? Should I go and erase all my wireless passwords and start with a new network location? I really would like to be able to use this new MacBook in the school buildings that have the 802.1x network.

If you use Pacifist, you can get the version of Internet Connect that came with whatever install discs you have for sure.

I'm pretty sure Leopard install discs don't have Internet Connect anywhere. I just copied the app from a Tiger machine, since it worked for other folks. No dice for me. Internet Connect says I'm connected and I can see AFP shares on the local network, but not the internet...

My apologies, didn't read the thread closely enough.

The issue was resolved for me with the 10.5.1 update.

Argh. You're lucky. I only even tried to set it up after 10.5.1, using my school's instructions, to no avail... It still seems like a problem on Apple's end, since a lot of the settings I change just don't stick. Very weird...
