I have 2 macs, an iMac and a macbook. If I bought a family pack, I would save around $60. The family pack has 5 licenses, so I would have 3 left over. Would I be able to install leopard on my friend's macbook, or does apple have some kind of measure to determine if you are in the same household?

Bought a family install myself and had it install in my newphew's MB.

According to the license agreement it is only for family members residing in the same household. There are no checks that it makes. It relies on honesty.

For the time being, Apple does not use checks (historically apple has never used checks), but only time will tell.
