Hi All,

A long time ago I installed a divx plug in, and now when I start up my MBP with Leopard, I get a message telling me that quicklook.frameworks is crashing, and that it probably has something to do with my divx plug in.

I figured a quick spotlight for "divx" would find it, but I've since determined that spotlight is not looking in the System, its LIbrary, or the Library in my user folder.

I depended on this capability in 10.4, anyone know how I can get Spotlight to look _everywhere_?

Many thanks in advance,

Chas

You don't want Spotlight looking everywhere. That would include everything in the cache files, and that would get silly results. Excluding ~/Library in genreal is a good idea.

Does Leopard have a /Library (at the root level of the start-up volume)?
Divx would likely be in /Library/QuickTime

Popup Kind and choose Other...
From that long list, select System files.

Or open the System folder in the Finder and search it as the location.

However you don't want to exclude ~/Library/Mail?
