I bought Leopard, but thus far, I have been unable to install it on my MacBook. I am pretty sure that something is wrong with my DVD drive. Anyways, how would I install this on my MacBook w/o the DVD drive? I guess that I could clone it to a firewire drive, but I don't have one of those either. I read somewhere that I can clone the DVD and then partition my MacBook's drive then install it via that way. Any links to that or suggestions? Thanks. I really need this installed!!

If the drive isn't working to install, it probably won't work to give you a clone either. Worth a try though.

At the very least, you'd need another Mac with a working DVD drive.

You could install it via firewire off another computer.

So basically, clone DVD to iMac and then use TDM to install to MacBook?

No need to clone the DVD. Start your iMac in TDM with the DVD inserted. Connect it to your MacBook. Boot with Option held and the DVD in the iMac will show up. Select it and boot up with it to begin the install.
