DNS look ups work about 15% of the time after a long delay when hooked up to my Wifi router... Connecting it directly to my cable modem makes it work 90% of the time but I get "Not Connected to the Internet" errors fairly often too even if I am for sure.

I'm thinking about nuking and re-installing sigh.

maybe

what sort of installation did you do -- upgrade, archive, clean?

you should also consider programming DNS servers into your wifi router's settings. Use something like opendns, OpenDNS | Providing A Safer And Faster Internet
