Is there any way to see a log of what exactly Time Machine backed up and when? It's sucked up a lot of disk space in the last day, and for the life of me I can't figure out what I'm changing.

Since you can directly access Time Machine's archive from the Finder, I suppose you could go to it, sort by date modified and go from there.

Your system.log will tell you what TM is doing and when. It won't give you a detailed list of copied files, but it will tell you how much it copied at a certain time step. Look for entries with /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd
