I'm using Leopard 10.5.1, and going to System Prefs and Startup Disk I do not see my own HD there.
As an option I see the "Network Startup" but nothing else. Is this normal?

I cloned the contents of my "Macintosh HD" onto a backup drive that has some other files on it as well... Then when I tried to select the external drive as the startup volume nothing happened, and the computer just hangs after awhile.
I can boot off a OS X Leopard disk. Then I noticed that if I turn off my ext HD, and boot off the main "Macintosh HD" this works fine, but shouldn't I see my current startup disk listed as an available startup disk?
