I am trying to make a backup copy of the Leopard Upgrade Install disc. I am using this with Toast 8.0.3 and MacPro 2x2.66GHz 3GB RAM, and Optiarc DVD-RW drive included.

From what I understand this drive is capable of burning DVD+DLs. Yet twice now in the middle of a burn it gives me an error and stops. Also, I have the burn settings on 1x and Toast is the only program I have open at the time.

I was wondering if anyone had any pointers, as using DVD+DL as coasters can get expensive fast!

From my experience DVD-DL disks are more finicky then single layer disks, I have had a fair share of coasters over the last year myself.
