On a Dual 1.8GHz G4 OS X server it takes literally minute or more to authenticate either at log-in or for other purposes. The login window text input locations go grey, as a lock-out, as you expect, but it should only take a 1/2 second or so to authenticate under normal circumstances. Otherwise, the server operates normally. Ideas? Thanks!

No one else is experiencing this? It just took 10 minutes for the login window to go away after I logged in.

Check your configuration, especially DNS.
