Finder Slow when Copying Files

i opened up some .dmg virtual disks and i'm trying to copy its contents to my hard disk. About 400mb.
The copy process is really really slow.

I'm running the latest version of Leopard. This must be a bug.

Anyone else experience similar problems when copying large files.
Also, the Activity Monitor shows the FINDER using 99.99% of the CPU

I tried copying files from a CD. Large files.
and i got a really slow copy rate.

must be a bug
