My girlfriend's iBook G4 (1.42MHz/512 GB RAM/Leopard) has been extremely slow online. Pages don't completely load, she gets the spinning pinwheel, and sometimes the browser simply crashes. She's tried using Firefox and Safari, and the same thing happens in both browsers. We cleared her cache and uninstalled her Firefox addons, but it's still happening.

Help?

Leopard requires a minimum of 512MB for the OS itself, so first thing I recommend is more RAM. Max it out to 1.25GB if possible.

Keep in mind that may not be the exact issue but it wouldn't hurt to start there

If it isn't, try and clean up the HD a little bit if it's full.
