I have a MBP Core Duo 2GB. and since Leopard, I haven't been able to burn DVDs. Both "Burn Folders" and the "Burn ( ) to Disc..." options in Finder doesn't work when using DVD disc. Oddly enough, both those options work when using a CD-R. I've been using TDK DVD and CD since Tiger and haven't had a problem until I switched to Leopard.

I don't get any errors, but the DVD would just make that reading sound then self eject. Please help, this is very frustrating. I highly doubt it's the drive. Anyone else?

BTW I did a clean install of Leopard.

Also, the drive can read DVD data, movies, etc. but likes to spit out blank DVD-R when I want to burn something onto DVD. What are some ways to troubleshoot this? I really don't want to go back to Tiger if this turns out to be just a Leopard bug. =\

Apple Menu --> About This Mac --> More Info... Then click on Disc Burning. Does your drive show up that it can burn DVD's?

One of the testing I've done was to burn a text file into CD then burn the same file onto DVD. CD was a success, the DVD on the other hand just spins and comes out after a few seconds. And I've created DVD backups of my iTunes Music before, but that was on Tiger. Leopard seems to deny it all. =/
