Simple question: Why? Does it have to do with Core Animation, low powered graphics, etc?

Hi C.A.T.S. I think if you ask Chris Bailey at Code Intensity: Twittervision/Flickrvision - the Screen Saver
He created the above, which displays two different saver's on two separate screens!
So if asked he maybe able to help you.
