I thought i can be in iPhoto, then launch time machine and see pictures i've deleted from albums and stuff.
When i launch time machine it keeps opening up the hard drive, but won't show me old iPhotos.
Was i mistaken?

Are you using the latest version of iPhoto? I have version 6 and it behaves as you describe.

I'm using version 7.1.2 (which i assume is the latest and greatest)
I will note that a button exists in iPhoto. if you click on FILE and then BROWSE BACKUPS it launches Time Machine. But any attempt of being in iPhoto and then clicking on Time Machine yields the result i first mentioned above.

I have the latest version of iPhoto and the OS. When I click on the browse backups button or on the Time Machine icon in the dock I see an iPhoto window and the full Time Machine screen, as you should too. I guess there must be something wrong with your installation or your iPhoto library.

There is nothing wrong with my iPhoto Library. Everything works great. Just a TIME MACHINE issue.

I had a similar prob, iphoto in timemachine froze and said it was loading photos, but didn't. I did manage to get the files back by doing a search in Finder, Yesterday all photos etc...found the deleted / corrupted files aok
