I've been having this problem like 50% of the time I try to drag and drop folders or files to another folder.

When I clicked and hold on the item and proceed to move the mouse cursor away, the item doesn't follow the cursor. Meaning, I can't drag and drop the file.

There's an youtube video showing the same problem as I have.

Strangely, the problem goes away when I'm not in list view. But it's troublesome to switch to column or icon view just to drag and drop.

I've tried fixing disk permissions with Disk Utility. Currently, the system is running OS 10.5.2

Hi parka, that's strange I have no problem in ether list, column or icon. In List view I could drag a Link, App, Pic, Mov, File or Folder to another or click on arrow to view inside the Folder & drag the contents to another Folder or by leaving it over the chosen-Folder to spring it open to then drag to app, doc, or folder.

I see your on a Mac Pro so this is quit surprising since I'm on an iMac G5.

Try to grab the icon, not the name.
