Hi,

Just got a new MacBook Air, and have noticed that in the Finder, in "Places" I only have options to view "Home, Desktop, Applications and Documents"

I have looked in the Finder preferences, and had no joy.

Does anyone know how to fix this to show the rest (Movies, Pictures etc)

Thanks!

First, try deleting your Finder plist. It's in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist. Then relaunch Finder (click the Apple icon in the top-left of the screen; choose Force Quit..., Finder).

If that doesn't help, create a new user and see if that user has those Finder sidebar places. If it does, then something is messed up with your user.

Or, just drag 'em back in.

Thanks Cold Warrior.

I tried deleting the finder plist - didn't do anything.

I also created a new user, logged in as this user, and the short cuts were still missing :/

Any other ideas?

This is a brand new install, turned on today for the first time

Thanks for your help
