I backed up all the movies and tv shows in my iTunes library to the hard drive of my iPod and then reinstalled mac os 10.5 on my MBP. When I put the movies and tv shows back on my computer some of the movies did not work and almost all of the tv shows that had purchased from iTunes did not work. Some of the movies that I did not purchase from the iTunes store will make iTunes quit. Is there anyway to fix this?

Did you reauthorize iTunes?

My iTunes has been re authorize. All of the TV shows that I backed up on the iPod do not work but the ones I backed up on DVD work fine. And the movies that are ripped off of DVDs some of them will not copy over to iTunes and the ones that will be copied will make iTunes quit.

Can you open them in QuickTime ?

That will tell you if the file itself is possibly damaged, or if it's a iTunes problem.
At least the movies not purchased from iTunes should work with QT.

some of them will play in quicktime but they do not play that well. and the other ones gives a error message the movie could not be opened. An invalid public movie atom was found in the movie.

What makes the files corrupted? This is not the firs time that I have used the iPod as a hard drive.
