My friend burned a DVD full of images, PDF's and stuff and my G5 keeps ejecting the disc right out. Is there something I can do to read this disc?

OS X would normally be able to read a simple disc file of files from a Windows PC. I think either he did something weird like format it with some obscure file system or the disc is defective.
