One user upgrade his 15" macbook pro to Leopard two weeks ago. Weirdness has ensued. First, all mpkg files were being opened by quicktime thus no other software could be installed until they were reassociated with the Installer app in Core Services. The new on now is the iPhoto Libary folder (not the app itself) is associate to open iPhoto the app. To view what is inside you must right click and choose Show package contents.
How do I make it a "folder" again. I can't unassociate from iPhoto.

This is actually how it works with the newest version of iPhoto - the iPhoto library is a package not a folder.

The rest is weird though.

I'd try to fix the weirdness first before iPhoto. Try an archive-install of Leopard.

This issue came up because half his photos in iPhoto "aren't there" The thumbnail is showing but not the file itself. The files are there in iPhoto library. He can import them but then he has a "broken" one and a good one. He has about 3000 pictures. Not so fun to sort and delete.
I would recommend an archive and install. In fact, that is what I told him to do initially but you know how some button clickers are. The don't read before they click.
