Does anyone else get sick and tired of every software update always saying it "improved stability and compatability in ITEM$"?

I'm a geek, but that just sounds so bloody saccharine and patronizing it makes me grumble. Guess it's part of the Apple view that "(most) users don't need to know the details" of such things.

Also, you'd think SW Update would have a link built-in to each update so you can click and see EXACTLY what it's fixing if you're curious....but nope, not something you are presented for each update, and have to go digging around the Apple website or other forums to find out more info.

Grrr. Sorry for the rant.

I'd like to at least have a URL in the SW update that links back to a page outling what the change fixes that I can click on for more info if I'm curious.

That generic pablum they use in SW update is meaningless. After all, it'd be fair to say that any software update is released to improve "performance" or "stability" in the item being updated, however such terms might be defined.

I would like to see specifics of what is being addressed, fixed, enhanced. Apple seems to think that we would be better off not knowing what the updates are fixing

Agreed.

It seems to me that Apple hopes we don't notice their muck-ups and then try and fix them quietly.
I can hardly miss my speakers going POP because of the power saving feature, time will tell if this is fixed.
