The setup: My MacBook is serving as host to my media library for my Apple TV. Time Machine backups are going to a 500 GB Time Capsule.

What I want to do: Connect a high-capacity drive to the Time Capsule to use as an Airdisk, and move portions of my movie library to the Airdisk (turning off the 'copy into iTunes folder' option when adding movies to the library).

The question: Will Time Machine make backups of the Airdisk as part of its regular routine? Or, more generally, will Time Machine back up external drives to the Time Machine volume?
