Yeah, so I just did a clean Install of OSX, it had been maybe 2 years, it was time. Before that though I backed up everything onto DVD's (No I don't have an external, i'm waiting on that). anyway, after the install, I put everything back on my computer, Documents, all of my music, and now it's all gone after I did the Software update. My documents folder is empty, my music folder is empty, but the space is still being taken up. It says I have 50GB free, if all of my music and documents are gone I should have at least 100GB. So the data is still on the computer somewhere just not where i put it. Spotlght can't find it either, not really sure what happened, anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

By the way, I am running Mac OSX 10.4.11 after the update.

EDIT : Sorry for the double post, didn't see the 'edit' button.

I'm finding out more and more stuff that was deleted.

All of my pictures folder is gone, and my address book is gone as well.

Yeah I did, then I tried to rename it back and it said "name is already taken". Why, what happens when you do that? Is it a bug? Or am I not supposed to rename it?

I just read that thread, I tried to change the name back and it says "Name is already taken. Please choose another."

Hope he comes back to check in... gosh ...... I just feel so......

USED!

Backups are like guns and condoms. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
