Help
MacBook Pro purchased July of 2007.
I had installed Leopard 10.5.1 and then upgraded to 10.5.2 and NO firmware updates.
I have an external drive copy via Superduper with 10.5.1 and an old user folder and it works well.
When I rebooted recently, I lost my external monitor (1920x1200) and only had external mirroring at 1400.

Will reinstalling (Archive & Install) 10.5.1 or can I copy my User Folder over to recover via Superduper back to the original computer?

The phrasing of your question confuses me a little bit, but you can archive-and-install back to 10.5.1 and you can restore your user folder backup.

If the problem is that your monitor is not going up to its maximum resolution, then using an older OS would not be the first solution I would look at. Check the monitor, connection, and cable. Check to make sure your computer is detecting the monitor correctly (manufacturer and model listed in Display preferences and menu).

Okay, I did an archive and install and am currently back to 10.5.0 and it works perfectly at full resolution. Later, I may try to update to 10.5.1
thanks, sam
