I'm trying to restore a backup from earlier today and Time Machine simply won't let me. The Restore button is grayed out and I can't click on it. It doesn't matter what backup I select, it won't let me restore. Anyone have a solution?

Time Machine and Time Capsule have been so unreliable for me that I simply cannot rely on it for backup anymore. I think I'd be better off just manually storing files on it as a hard drive and not using Time Machine at all.

When you say that the Restore button is grayed out, do you have any files actually selected
