hi, how can i encrypt a file ?
well, i am using leopard OS, i think there are several , i.e. from disk utility to create a disk image and encrypt it, but how can i just encrypt a file without placing it to the encrypted diskimage? seems it save the file for first time that there is a option to choose to encrypt or not, but not for subsequent save....?

An encrypted disk image is the only mean provided by the OS.

I don't know from which application you are saving to get the option to encrypt, but it's something provided by that application.
