I've been pulling my hair out trying to enable automatic login for my account.
For some reason, when going to Accounts in prefs and clicking on login options, the account in question (an admin account) will not show up in the pull down list of users in the Automatic Login: prompt.
I suspect it's because I had a password set before on the account, but when I tried to reset the password to nothing (by just hitting enter, which it took), the account will still not show up in the list of Automatic Logins.
Is there something else I need to do? I have also turned on Enable Automatic Logins, but it doesn't make a difference because my account is just not showing up. I did set up a new account w/o password and it does show up in the list so I know that part does work.
Basically, I just want my computer to boot right up into my account without needing me to login. I'm using the new iMac with Leopard.
