Is this possible?

Before Leopard I could play an mp3 in the finder preview and have access to a limited ability to navigate the track. Now in the preview window I can only press "play" and "stop". If I want to navigate the track I can press space and open in Quick Look and jump around the track. But if i want the music to continue playing I have to remain in Finder, I can't use any other applications if I want to continue listening to the music. It's very annoying.

Is there a way of keeping the Quick Look window open while switching applications?

As an alternative I've taken to using ToolPlayer or Quicktime, but I would prefer to be able to preview the file instantly in the Finder.

This is very annoying when you have other files open in quicklook too.

You could probably change that if you could find the QuickLook window in the Finder's NIBs, although I wouldn't really recommend it since this would invalidate the Finder's code signing.

Do both the column view preview and the preview available when you get info on the song only show stop and play now?
I'm on MacNN forums, but no longer have a Mac...
