I had a software problem so i tried to find my installation DVD's, i used my friend's first DVD, but she doesn't have the second one, I have found a perfectly good 1st and 2nd DVD now, but no matter how i try, i cannot get my macbook out of the Insert DVD 2 screen. Can someone please help me? Thank You in Advanced.

You need an install DVD that is specific to the MacBook, or else a generic one. An install DVD that came with another model will not work.

In about a minute, you will post asking what to do. The answer is:
"Find the disc for your machine, or find a pair of discs that are generic install discs."

You need to get the disc out and start the process again. To get the disc out, reboot the Mac and hold the mouse button, this will force it to eject any discs inside. Then you can put the new disc in, press and hold C after the chime to boot from it and away you go.

What disk did you try and in what way did it not work? Still went to the "Insert Disk 2" screen?
