I have a PowerMac PowerPC G5 that I tried to upgrade to Leopard tonight. I usually zero out the hard drive before I do this but this time I didn't. Anyway, the install disc hung up when it was installing and saying "About a minute left..." I had to quit the install and restart. The install began again and it finished the second time. Now, however, it will not accept my administrator's name and password. I have tried to reset it in my accounts and keychain with no luck. I also tried to restart with the Leopard install disc but it will not work like it use to when you could hold down the "C" key. I can't find the original install discs to reset it. I plan on calling Apple monday if no one here can help me.

I hope this made since. It is late and I'm tired.

Thanks,
hondo

Try holding down option at startup, with the disc in. See if it'll let you choose the Leopard disc.

If you can get it to boot, try an archive-install option.

If you were doing an Archive & Install on the first install, it can take a very long time at the end depending on how much data is on the drive. It probably wasn't hung like you thought.
