Hi, this is my first post here. I've updated to 10.5.4 yesterday, and today I noticed this happening:

As you can see, there is a thick black outline over certain elements (generally where the mouse is or last clicked). I do not recall changing any preferences for the system (this affects my entire system) or installing new applications, maybe it is a keyboard shortcut? I've tried tinkering with universal access prefpane, but none of the settings there had any effect on the outline boxes.

Also, my menubar looks like this:


I did not notice multiple restart and shutdown items before the update. Is this a feature or is there something wrong with my system?

i'm on a 15" Penryn Base MBP, OSX 10.5.4. Thanks!

It's VoiceOver in the Universal Access preferences. Hit command-F5 to turn it back off.

Ah, that fixed it, thanks! I wonder if anyone else has the same menu bar though?
