Each time I try to restart my mac to install update OS X 10.5.4, it just hangs on the installation bar (it says configuring installation). All the other updates (iphoto, imovie etc) have installed without any problems. Any ideas what I should do or should I just ignore the update and hope 10.5.5 installs okay?

thanks

Have you downloaded and tried the combo update installer from apple.com downloads? That can sometimes work for this issue.

Are you booting up from your Apple 10.5 DVD? Do that by holding down the "C" key. Your Mac will then boot up from that disk and you'll be able to install Leopard.
