60Hz refresh rate missing in display prefs

Hey guys,

I am trying to make my 15" TFT work with Mac Mini via D-Sub adapter that came with it and I am having a problem with choosing the correct refresh rate for 1024x768 in display settings. For some reason refresh rate starts at only 85Hz which causes my monitor to display permanent 'warning' msg in the centre of the screen. It is very annoyning and can only be removed if refresh rate is set to 60Hz.

Can anyone help getting good ol' 1024x768 60Hz back in display properties?

How did you set the refresh rate to 60hz if it is not available?

Well, some very general ones at this point. 1) The video card may have a problem with the TFT, 2) the OS may have a problem. It would be helpful if you gave us detailed info on the the TFT and the OS. Does the mini's video card need a firmware upgrade? You can find out the make/model of the latter using System Profiler, in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder, and then you can go to the manufacturer's website and download the newest update. How old is the TFT?
