Do you mean iMovie HD was in the Dock and it became a question mark? If you've installed iLife '08 (which includes iMovie HD), try opening iMovie from inside the /Applications folder. If it opens, drag the question mark out of the Dock and replace it by dragging the iMovie HD icon from /Applications into the Dock. If iMovie doesn't work when you try to open it in /Applications, your simplest solution would be re-installing iLife '08.

Did this answer your question?

The problem is that I didnt install it and its nowhere to be found. It was already installed so if i re-install 10.4 will iMac HD reapear ! or am I buggered. (And as I mentioned before) What about if anything else is missing that I dont know about. Thats why I asked about reinstalling.

Is it iMovie HD? I've never heard of iMac HD. In any case, if it's a default installation, I don't think it came with iMovie HD, since iMovie HD is part of the iLife '06 suite and isn't sold separately. However, if your Mac's still under warranty, try giving AppleCare a call.

If you install from the software restore DVD that came with your computer, all the software that was bundled with it (including iLife) will be installed as well.

You didn't change the short name of your home folder did you (the one with the house on)?

See this thread if you did.
