I like to add a folder to my Desktop Preferences, in which has all of my created wallpapers. This way I can easily find the ones I want. However recently I go to click on the folder and none of my images are loading. No matter how long I let it sit. Has anyone ran into this or a similar issue before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. As of now I am just putting one or two images in my main "Pictures" directory to settle this for now. But I am an extremely organized person and like to have my created work separate from the "Pictures" directory. Thanks in advance!

I put my extra wallpaper pictures into the Public folder in my account and the System Preferences located them right away. I am using them from there now.

If you have TIger, why do you have an option for the translucent menu bar? That's a Leopard feature.

He's not the OP. He must have misread "out of curiosity" to be a reference to him (Curiosity.)
For the OP: I have ha some issues like this too. The way I go around it is just to throw my wallpapers in with the Apple created ones.

I am currently using iLeopard, and I love it. Is this a possible cause?

Yeah sometimes I would just put them in my "pictures" folder. It seems that this occurs when I don't restart my Mac for about a week. After restarting, not just logging out, it will find my created "wallpapers" folder. Hope this helps for anyone in this situation. Thanks for the replies.
