I have a Mac Pro quad core 2 x 2.8, 10 GB ram & 8800 VC. Computer was shut down for a week and upon restart I was unable to login. Computer would not accept login password even though I was entering the correct one. I finally had to use the disk that came with computer to start up and reset the login and keychain password.
Problem is now i get "safari wants to use the "login" keychain" all the time while surfing the web. I enter the password and it says that I did not enter the correct password. How do I fix this?
Thanks.

The keychain password is the old password (whatever that may have been), not the new one you changed it to. You may have to delete the old keychain if you can't figure out what the old password was.

I just reset the password using the same password as I had before the problem. If I have to delete the keychain to fix this problem, where is it located at?

I deleted the keychain located in library/keychains. I am still getting the login keychain password request. Suggestions?
