A few weeks ago, my PowerBook went into a complete freeze. After restarting, Activity Monitor refused to launch, just bouncing once and then quitting. Resetting the app does nothing. Any suggestions?
Run disk repair from your install cd. If you have disk warrior, use that. Sounds like file corruption. If your on tiger, might repair permissions too. You should probably try to remove any important files first in the event your hd is getting ready to die.
