IIRC the first one is VoiceOver. Deactivate it in Sys Prefs > Universal Access.

The second one I have never seen before. The difference between the entries with ... and those without is usually when you press opt while browsing a menu. For Example Apple Menu > Restart... will become Apple Menu > Restart (IOW immediate restart without dialog box) if you hold opt.

The second one is also due to VoiceOver.

There really should be a sticky for this. People post about VoiceOver every week, if not more frequently.

It is in the "common problems" sticky.

Oops. I guess I'm like all the others that didn't bother to read it first.

There was a lovely sticky about this, which then got rolled into the Common Problems sticky where nobody can see it.

I decided there were too many stickies and that a one would be better.

I need some flashing stars around the new one to give it that WOW factor.

I just see that people don't look inside it at all. People always think they're special, that their problem couldn't possibly be common.

That said, we don't have any way of knowing how many people don't post because they saw the current or prior stickies!
