Something farked up my Terminal.

When I click on it, it bounces a couple of times, but never starts up.

Deleting the .plist file doesn't help.
Problem is confined to my user, other users on the same computer are not effected.

Crash log reads this:

Process: Terminal [618]
Path: /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app/Contents/MacOS/Terminal
Identifier: com.apple.Terminal
Version: 2.0.1 (240)
Build Info: Terminal-2400000~1
Code Type: X86 (Native)
Parent Process: launchd [415]

Date/Time: 2008-10-20 00:02:03.135 -0400
OS Version: Mac OS X 10.5.5 (9F33)
Report Version: 6

Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000020

Oh snap.

Well, I don't know what triggered the sudden malfunctioning of the Terminal, but his is what fixed it:

Removed the following Visor plugin: ~/Library/Application\ Support/SIMBL/Plugins/
http://code.google.com/p/blacktree-visor/

really werid, I had this installed for ages, and never had problems with the Terminal.

This Apple Support Discussions thread had a lot of suggestions, one of them finally worked.

What does your console say at startup? Do you have any .bash files in your home directory? A .profile file? Try downloading iTerm and see if that works... This will help you determine whether your problem is with the application itself, or with your shell. I prefer iTerm to the OS X Terminal app anyway, so it doesn't hurt to have it installed.

You could also try removing the Visor plugin, if you have it installed..

Thanks, Besson3c. You hit the nail on the head. Visor was the culprit.
