Hi all,

My G5 has been trouble-free for the better part of 4 1/2 years, but the past two weeks, it's been acting up. Whenver I attempt to save a document in virtually any application, the app quits. Quicken, Word, it's the same thing, instead of a clean quit, I get the "Quicken has unexpectedly quit...blah, blah".

I've repaired permissions multiple times, run a virus scan with ClamXav, run Disk Warrior, no dice. Any ideas?? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

What happened 2-3 weeks ago? Upgrades, new software installations, any hardware changes? And what OS are you using? Do you have a backup drive you try to save stuff to, to rule out HD problems?

Have you look the permissions of HD. My Leopard change the owner from me to 'system' (without asking me) and Apache just stops working! Solved with a clic of the mouse...
