I am trying to upgrade my mac from tiger to Leopard but when i insterted the disk it said that i need to have mac os x 10.4 or higher. The version i have is 10.4.11 so i do not see what the problem is. If any one has any advice on this problem please guide me through. thanks for your time.

Insert the Leopard DVD and reboot, holding down the "c" key to start the installer from the disk.

or insert the install DVD and restart the mac holding the alt key down. Select the Leopard install dvd to start from and go from there. (sometimes I find the c key doesn't work for some reason - G4 iMacs seem prone to this - and this method is more reliable in those cases.
