I was given a disk full of fonts today, which I installed using fontbook...

As I'm visiting various sites, I notice some fonts looking strange...well I soon realize flash text is now showing up in this crazy font as shown in the screen shot from youtube. This happens with all flash content, not just videos.

I'm assuming some default font was overwritten? Does anyone know which one? Any ideas on how to restore the old font?

Thanks

Okay I have a strange update. Here I am at Google Maps - look at the text...some of it is messed up, while the rest isn't.

I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling Flash to see if that fixed anything.

thanks for the suggestion steve. Unfortunately, flash wasn't the issue in the sense that flash wasn't the root of the problem. Anyways, I ended up completely deleted all the fonts within my user folder, which cleared it up. I guess I'll install fonts on an as needed basis from now on instead of the bulk install.

Thanks again for your help

Use a full-fledged font manager like the free Linotype Font Explorer X to manage your fonts and activate them only when needed.
