Software Update - how to ignore specific packages?

Does anyone know if I can have the Software Updater stop requesting a specific package? HP has a newer then my current driver out, but when installed the all in one printer stop scanning. I reverted back to the previous version and the all in one printer is fine. Now everyday I have to acknowledge the Software Updater, and deselect the specific update, and close. I've been enduring this process for more then a few months, and frankly it's really starting to bug me. Can I just say, don't install, have it in que, but not notify every freaking day? This is the only package I don't want at this time, not until HP gets a newer working update out.
Any suggestions?
-J

Yes. Select "Ignore Update" from the "Update" menu.

You can select the update in the window, and then in one of the menus, just tell SU to ignore it.

Not sure why I haven't seen this before. Next time it pops up I'll give it a look.
Very Respectfully,

Or you could run SU manually and ignore it now

Ok, so I tried... Software Update loads, then shows the HP update. I don't want this update, so how do I ignore it - forever? Here is a screen shot, not that you don't know what it looks like aready:
